Because our focus is on being intentionally missional, our ways to connect are not through traditional "church" channels. We focus on ministering to each other and to the world through our Grow Groups (discipleship groups of 2-3 people) & Small Groups.
"Discipleship is a hand up, hand down paradigm where we come alongside others as others come alongside us."
Phil Strout, Vineyard National Director.
Our Grow Groups consist of 2-3 people who meet for an hour weekly to discuss a group-selected portion of Scripture, to hold each other accountable, to pray for one another and to pray for others. These groups are organic in nature, so we ask each church member to find someone who wants to be a part of a Grow Group and commit to meet together weekly. If you're not part of a Grow Group, you could be missing out on an opportunity to grow and help others grow. Click on the Grow Group tab above for more information.
At the Vineyard we do life together in various ways, but the best way to get connected is through a Small Group. These groups of 10-12 people meet weekly for 3 months, making a commitment to study, pray, share and play together. There is usually a set curriculum followed, along with a common interest among the group. Please see the Church Calendar for group dates and times or click on the Small Groups tab above.
There are many opportunities to serve within our church community. Some of our volunteer positions include:
- Hospitality Team (Greeters, Coffee & Treats Team, Building Maintenance Team)
- Assimilation Team
- Vineyard Kids and Nursery Teachers / Assistants
- Youth Leader
- Worship Team (by audition)
- Audio & Visual Arts Team
- Servant Team (Leadership Development group)
To volunteer for one or more of these teams, please fill out a Connection Card and drop it in the offering basket during one of our services.
